June 29, 2015 - Passed the Sandy Transparency Bill
We passed the Sandy transparency bill so survivors could plan ahead for their recovery.
This law provided homeowners in the Reconstruction, Rehabilitation, Elevation and Mitigation (RREM) program — and RREM’s sister program for low- and moderate-income residents — with a better understanding of where they were in the rebuilding process. Knowing when rebuilding work would begin or end empowered homeowners to make important decisions, like how long of an apartment lease to sign and what assistance to apply for.
